Live, invest, work or retire in Bali with the right KITAS (Kartu Izin Tinggal Terbatas), Indonesia's limited stay permit. Our Jakarta team handles your full KITAS application for Bali, from choosing the right visa type to following up with immigration. Written quote before you pay.
A KITAS is Indonesia's limited stay permit. It gives foreigners legal residency for a set purpose and period, usually one or two years, and it can be extended. The KITAS system is national, so every Indonesia KITAS type is available to people living in Bali. After you arrive, your entry visa (VITAS) is converted into an ITAS/KITAS, including biometrics at the local immigration office. With a KITAS you can open a bank account, rent long term and build toward a permanent stay permit (KITAP).
Pick the permit that matches your plans in Bali. Each one has its own requirements and sponsor.

Bali attracts foreign investors in villas, hospitality, F&B, wellness and creative businesses. To live in Bali on an Investor KITAS (E28A), you need to be a shareholder or director of a PT PMA. The company needs at least IDR 10 billion in capital and an investment plan of the same amount, a business license (NIB), and quarterly LKPM investment reports.
We can handle both steps for you: setting up your PT PMA and then sponsoring your Investor KITAS, so you can live in Bali while running your business. Your spouse and children can join you on a Dependent KITAS.
Requirements depend on the KITAS type. These are the ones we are asked about most in Bali:
1
General documents
Passport valid for at least 18 months, passport photos, CV and a sponsor letter from a company or individual.
2
Investor KITAS
A PT PMA with at least IDR 10 billion in capital, an investment plan of the same amount, a business license (NIB) and LKPM reporting.
3
Retirement KITAS
Age 55+, a stable pension or income of around USD 3,000 per month, health insurance and accommodation in Indonesia.
